Mentioned in Despatches

A quick up-date on yesterdays update.

Firstly, Julie Curwin didn't "just" post a 10:10 at Regensberg, or "just" qualify for Kona (about which she is, according to our sources, "ecstatic") on her first IM back after two years off with injury, but she won her age-group too. As you know, we're too much of a gentleman here at the TA to ever say which age-group that might be, but suffice it to say it was pretty much the age-group of death. So double, triple chapeau (chapeaux? we never know).

Also, we got the Tally/Counter count wrong, with McScotch actually being at 28, us having forgotten the 5K open water swim he had done mid-week. Actually. we have totally neglected the open-water swimming series, due to a rampant case of hydrophobia, and so, belatedly, the results are here. We'll find plenty of familiar names there.

Enjoy your Sunday off

  1. Oh, and we just found out that Mark did the Not Since Moses 5K, so that's Tartan Tally 28 vs Cookie Counter 18.
